Novosibirsk region: Investments flow to cattle

The Gorkunov Group plans to build farms and feedlots for raising cattle in six districts of the Novosibirsk region. By 2027, the company plans to have 160,000 head of cattle, having invested RUR 30 billion ($ 423.9 million).

 

The plans include the construction of about 30 farms, while some of them will be built as greenfield, other farms will be purchased and modernized. In addition, the project involves the construction of feedlots where young animals from farmers will be taken. According to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Vladimir Pakhomov, the company is already negotiating with the districts, somewhere the registration of land for rent begins. The investment project also includes the creation of a breeding and genetic center for cattle breeding with investments of RUR 2 billion ($ 28.26 million).
