OmSAU on the Day of the Field

Vice-rector of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) Vladimir Kumpan took part in the Day of Field, dedicated to the cultivation and production of brewing barley in Omsk region. Representatives of AB InBev EFES within the event presented the SmartBarley agricultural program.

 

The cultivation of malting barley and the production of high-quality malt are developing in Omsk region for more than ten years. Twelve districts are engaged in brewing barley, the area under crops grows every year. This year, 68 thousand HA were sown with brewing barley. The yield of barley is 19-20 c / HA. In addition to foreign varieties, there are Omsk varieties in the region (Omsky-90), and the Beatrice barley grade occupies 70% of all areas.

 

OmSAU was awarded the Letter of Gratitude for the qualitative training of specialists for the agro-industry of Omsk region.
