OmSAU presented innovative projects at the AgroOmsk-2019

July 24, the official opening of the XVII Siberian Agrotechnical Exhibition-Fair 'Agro Omsk-2019' took place. Expositions of the Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsky Biocluster member) 'Science' and 'Fertility' were visited by a delegation headed by the Governor of the Omsk region Alexander Burkov and the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk region Nikolai Drofa. University rector Oksana Shumakova presented innovative developments of the Omsk State Agrarian University.

First, the governor, together with other guests, visited the Fertility Pavilion, in which he was presented the latest developments in high-precision aerial photography using drones. The developed software allows automatically, using the principles of artificial intelligence, to identify areas with uniform development of crops and with a reduced biomass content, as well as online monitoring of the state of crops in all natural areas with different soil cover.

Science Pavilion represented several scientific developments. The Smart Greenhouse Project is a modern integrated and completed smart greenhouse technology based on the use of the IoT (from secure communications, sensors and wearable devices to cloud analytical systems) for food production. The project, implemented on the basis of the student design bureau of the technical service department in the agro-industry, will reduce the costs of growing greenhouse crops. The Novelties of Grain Production Project concerns perennial and violet-grain wheat, as well as the laboratory variety of spring soft wheat, a variety of grain and vegetable beans and a garden center product. The Smart Farm Project is a fully autonomous and robotic agricultural facility designed for meat and dairy cattle breeding production. This topic was developed within the implementation of the regional theme at the Faculty of Animal Science, Commodity Science and Standardization.
