Cherkizovo Group in the Q1 2018 increased sales for all types of products: pork - by 28% (from 45 TMT to 57,5 TMT), turkeys - three times (from 3,3 to 9,7 TMT) and chicken by 10% (from 125 TMT to 137 TMT), the company's press service reports. At the same time, the average price of chicken meat declined by 11% (from 92 to 82 rubles per kg or or from $ 1.48 to $ 1.32), turkeys - by 28% (from 160 to 116 rubles per kg or from $ 2.58 to $ 1.87) and pork - by 11% (from 91 to 81 rubles per 1 kg or from $ 1.47 to $ 1.31). The price of sausage products of Cherkizovo remained unchanged.
"The fall in the average price of chicken meat by 11% was due to the effect of the high base of 2017, as well as a seasonal decline in demand compared to the previous quarter. About the turkey, the return of the main competitor to the market (probably, the Eurodon Rostov company - ed.) at the end of 2017 had an unfavorable effect on the selling price," Cherkizovo report says. It is noted that the increase in sales of pork was due to the commissioning of new capacities: in autumn Cherkizovo opened two feedlots in Voronezh and Lipetsk regions for 100 thousand heads worth 1 billion rubles.
