October 23, a meeting of first-year students took place who wished to prove themselves in the field of student self-government in the business incubator of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster). The event was attended by representatives of economic, agrotechnological faculties, as well as the faculty of technical services in the agro-industrial complex and the university college of agribusiness.
The Vice-Rector for Research of the Omsk State Agrarian University Yury Novikov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Vitaly Yepanchintsev, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control of OmSAU, and well-known Omsk business coach, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Omsky Biocluster StartUpAcademia, Director of Alliance LLC Andrey Vizmintinov acted as moderators.
The meeting of activists was held in an informal setting over a cup of tea. The students discussed not only the organizational issues of the business incubator, but also learned about the trainings and promotion of innovative projects at the sites of Omsk region and the Russian Federation, and planned a schedule of meetings with entrepreneurs and businessmen. Future residents have identified the formation of project teams to participate in innovation competitions as their main task. The nearest competition of innovative projects is to be held in Omsk State Agrarian University in November.
