The head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that in 2019 the grain harvest could be about 108-110 million tons.
"Now, as for crop forecasts. Of course, it’s quite early to do them, nevertheless, we can say that in 2019, taking into account the prerequisites that we currently have, we will probably harvest about 108–110 million tons," said Patrushev. At the end of 2018, the grain harvest amounted to 112.9 million tons.
