The Chinese PowerChina is considering the possibility of building a grain terminal in the Trans-Baikal Territory for the supply of products and raw materials to the PRC, the press service of the Ministry of Eastern and Eastern Development reports. The project involves the creation of road and rail infrastructure. The project can be implemented in stages for eight years.
"The first stage (three years) involves the construction of a terminal with a transshipment capacity of 8 million tons per year. The second stage (two years) includes an increase in the terminal's transshipment capacity to 12 million tons per year," the report said after the plenipotentiary’s meeting Yury Trutnev, Russian President Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District; and Zhiyun Yang, Chairman of the PowerChina Board of Directors.
