China plans to export Russian grain through Primorye

The Chinese Hebei Port Group started work on a construction project in Slavyanka of Primorsky Territory, a grain terminal with a capacity of 2m tons per year.

Hebei Port Group has already begun work on the project, the specialists of China Communications Construction Corporation have started the research necessary for terminal design.

At the first stage, it is planned to create a berth for overload grain cargo for ships with a displacement of 50,000 tons. The project will include storage tanks for grain, a railway section for servicing the terminal, a system for transporting and loading grain to the ship. It is planned that the terminal after the launch will be able to overload not only grain, but also fuel pellets for export to the Asia-Pacific region.

It should be recalled that in September 2017 Hebei Port Group concluded an agreement on the development of bilateral relations in the field of commercial logistics and the creation of port industrial clusters with Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (part of the FESCO transport group) within the Third Eastern Economic Forum.
