Peaches affected by Eastern Codling were brought to Omsk

Experts from the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) found the larvae of the Eastern Codling in two batches of peaches.

The Eastern Codling (prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation and a dangerous insect) damages the fruits and shoots of peach, plum, apricot, nectarine, apple, pear, quince, cherry, laurel cherry, almond. Fruit damage sometimes reaches 90% - 100%. The main danger lies not only in the fact that this insect can make devastating raids on gardens, but also in the fact that it is extremely prolific and can spread very quickly.

Information about the results of the examinations carried out by Omsk Reference Center experts was sent to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Omsk Branch).
