As part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary, RusAg (the Omsk branch is the Omsky Biocluster member) decided to expand support measures for talented students of agricultural universities subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, for the 2020-2021 academic year.
From September 1, 2020, the number of scholarship holders in the country as a whole will be increased by 39% and will amount to 396 students. At the same time, the size of the Bank's monthly scholarship will be increased by 25% and will amount to RUR 12,500 ($ 172.5) per month. The Bank's scholarship program is intended for material support of talented students of agricultural universities and the formation of human resources in the agricultural industry.
"The increase in the size of the scholarship and the increase in the number of scholarship holders are very good motivating factors for those who are already receiving this payment, and for applicants, respectively," said Oksana Shumakova, the OmSAU rector (Omsky Biocluster member). "We highly appreciate the RusAg initiative and believe that innovations in the scholarship program will help to involve as many active students as possible in the process of high-quality specialized training."
Lev Yaneev, director of the RusAg (Omsk Branch), noted that the increase in the scholarship quota is a logical process of the planned development of the program:
"RusAg actively supports collaboration with Omsk State Agrarian University on a number of programs. As part of this project, our ultimate goal is not only to increase the role of higher professional education in the socio-economic development of the region, but also to directly involve the bank in the systematic training of highly qualified graduates of agricultural specialties."
