Kazakhstan will invest 49 billion tenge ($ 113.87 million) in the development of milk production, thanks to which 28 new dairy complexes will be created in the republic. Thus, milk production will increase by 127,300 tons. At the same time, it is planned to open 25 complexes this year.
"The capacity of one farm varies from 400 to 1,200 head of dairy cattle. To date, six farms have already been commissioned," said the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They also predicted that the republic's milk supply in 2020 will be 76%. The 100% mark will be surpassed in 2024. "At the moment, the lack of dairy products in terms of milk is about 500,000 tons," the Ministry added.
