The Russian agro-industrial holding Miratorg intends to bring production to one million tons of pork per year (in live weight) within five years and meet all the needs of the Russian market for pork.
An obvious step in this direction will be the full completion of construction and the commissioning of a robotic meat packing plant, which will process 4.5M heads per year. At this stage, the holding increases the production of pork in enterprises located in Belgorod region. SK Korocha processed more than 2.63M heads, producing 255K tons of pork for three quarters of the current year. The holding noted that the pig complex sharply (by 14%) raised the production of meat in consumer packaging. Miratorg rightly believes that the growth in pork production will not only reduce the price of this type of meat, but will also have a 'multiplier' effect associated with an increase in budget allocations, raise construction, logistics and trade.
