Technoparks will receive support

On January 24, a meeting was held in the government of the Moscow Region on the participation of technoparks near Moscow in support measures implemented by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The event was held by the Ministry of Investments and Innovations of the Moscow region together with the Association for the development of clusters and technology parks of Russia.

During the meeting, the new support tools implemented within the framework of the National Project 'Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives' of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development were discussed. These tools are aimed at supporting the management companies of industrial technoparks and envision subsidizing a number of types of costs at all stages of the creation and development of technoparks. The maximum amount of such subsidies from the federal budget is 500 million rubles ($ 7.56 million) for two years (not more than 250 million rubles ($ 3.78 million) per year). Technoparks that meet the requirements of the National Standard GOST R 65425-2015 'Technoparks. Requirements' can count on receiving subsidies.

The Director of the Association, Andrei Shpilenko, spoke about the advantages of the business model of industrial technology parks, described the successful experience and features of the implementation of this tool, as well as the possibilities for attracting government support.

The first selection of applications from technoparks within the framework of the national project 'Small and Medium-Sized Business and Support for an Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative' was held on October 30, 2018. The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia approved the support of six applications of industrial technoparks in the amount of more than 2.5 billion rubles ($ 37.82 million). The next competitive selection is expected in the Q2 2019.
