In the near future, we should expect a massive write off of freight grain trucks, Vladimir Savchuk, deputy general director of the Institute of Natural Monopolies Problems (IPEM), said.
As Savchuk explains, mass write-off implies a high share of write-off for a not very long period of time. "Let's say, a third of the freight grain trucks is written off over four years. If the process is stretched for a much longer period, it is not a massive write-off," Savchuk said. The expert expects in the near future a massive write-off of specialized railway cars, in particular freight grain trucks. Mass write-off of universal railway cars, in particular, gondola cars, will begin no earlier than 2029.
