June 28, the Training Center of the Agrarian Center of Tomsk region (co-founder of the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering) became the venue for the event for specialists of Tomsk enterprises in preparation for the regional contest among artificial insemination operators and the All-Russian competition among livestock-breeding specialists.
The training was conducted not only by the specialists of the Agrarian Center of Tomsk region, but also by the invited experts from Omsk and Novosibirsk: the head of the SIBAGROCOMPLEX-BIO Training Projects (member of Omsky Biocluster) Tatiana Evtushenko and the head of the Information and Analytical Department of the Novosibirsk Regional Information-Breeding Center SIBAGROCOMPLEX LLC (co-founder of the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering) Irina Yushkova. Operators for artificial insemination have improved their qualifications in anatomical and topographical features of the reproductive system of cows, the method of rectal examination and artificial insemination of cows and heifers. The practical part of the lesson included the study of all stages of work in the laboratory. Participants of the event, under the guidance of experts, studied the preparation of instruments, thawing and assessing the sperm quality according to the methodology adopted in the evaluation at regional and all-Russian competitions.
Breeders discussed the main issues of dairy cattle breeding and the possibility of using information on the evaluation of breeding qualities of animals with the involvement of domestic and foreign sources, including the Internet. The participants showed a special interest in the experience of using breeding programs to assess the performance and selection of bulls to a specific herd and conduct analytical work. Participants also discussed the possibility of using innovative reproductive technologies in Western Siberia - embryo transplantation and seed separation by sex.
Omsk and Novosibirsk specialists especially noted the interest of the Tomsk audience, as well as the high level of professional training of specialists. This event was held within the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering, whose members are both the Agrarian Center of Tomsk region and Omsky Biocluster.
