Russia reduces the wheat flour production

According to official data, Russian flour makers produced about 7.1 million tons of wheat flour during the 11 months of the season-2017/18 (July-May), which is by 264,700 tons (4%) less than the same period last season.

 

In particular, the production of premium flour in the reporting period decreased by 2% - up to 5.4 million tons, flour of the first grade - by 7%, to 1.7 million tons. The largest decrease in production (by regions) was recorded in the Siberian (by 97.4 thousand tons), the Southern (by 95.4 thousand tons) and the Central (by 53.9 thousand tons) federal districts.
