According to the Center for Industry Expertise of the Russian Agricultural Bank (the Omsk branch is the Omsky Biocluster member), in the first half of 2020, the Russian Federation increased its meat exports by 2.2 times. According to RBC, the largest number of deliveries fell on China.

The share of mainland China accounted for, in particular, about 45% of Russian meat, and including Hong Kong, the share of supplies reached 54%. Earlier, Ukraine was considered the leader in domestic purchases, but in the first half of the year its share fell from 28% to 16%, while increasing in monetary terms from $ 42 million to $ 53 million. The Agroexport Federal Center cites data that from January to June of this year, Ukraine imported 40,900 tons of meat from the Russian Federation, and supplies to the China amounted to 79,900 tons, which is 11 times higher than the purchases of the Chinese in 2019 (7,000 tons).
