The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation plans to subsidize the transportation of agricultural products from all regions, to expand the list of products and types of transportation. The compensation mechanism for part of the costs of transporting agricultural and food products is provided for by Russian Government Resolution No. 1104.
In accordance with the draft updated version, it is planned to expand the list of products whose transportation will be subsidized from the federal budget, and extend this measure to all regions of the country, as well as increase the number of transportation modes for which transportation will be subsidized by the state, the Ministry of Agriculture said.
It is planned that this measure will affect transportation by water, rail and road transport. In addition, it can be extended to multimodal transport. The volume of subsidies is planned to increase to RUR 8 billion ($ 119.81 million) by 2024, compared with RUR 1.275 billion ($ 19.09 million) this year.
