Omsk ecology is in the focus of Business Russia attention

An open visiting meeting of the Expert Council of the Business Russia Committee on the chemical industry, biotechnology and new materials was held in Omsk. The topic of the meeting was the implementation of industrial environmentalization programs in Omsk with the interaction of society, business and government.

Many industrial enterprises advocate environmental responsibility and the introduction of resource-saving technologies. As part of their activities, companies offer solutions aimed at reducing the environmental impact. This vector is the focus of greening measures introduced by the Titan Group CEO Yan Kirsanov (the Omsky Biocluster member - Titan-Agro LLC is part of the Titan Group). He noted a decrease in emissions of controlled substances as part of the modernization of the production of organic synthesis, the introduction of resource-saving equipment, an increase in the level of automation, as well as an agreement on environmental partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Omsk region. Mikhail Sutyaginsky, head of the Business Russia committee on the chemical industry, biotechnology, and new materials, emphasized that the Titan Group is open and ready to provide data on atmospheric effects.

Olga Startseva, Chairman of the Ural Ecological Initiative, member of the Committee on Nature Management and Ecology of the Russian CCI, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of Yekaterinburg, noted the importance of social cooperation and the unification of public leaders. "The round table was constructive, the parties heard each other, we got a dialogue. On the one hand, companies representing an environmentally responsible business became participants, on the other, active citizens participated. I would like to wish to conduct such events regularly, as well as create a working group on environmental issues of the city. It is important to maintain a balance of interests - of the state, business and society, which requires the participation of all parties," said Olga Startseva.
