Industrial technology parks will receive more than 2.5B RUR subsidies

October 30, a meeting of the commission of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation on the examination of regional applications within the framework of SME state support was held. The Commission decided to approve applications of technopark projects from six regions of Russia for a state subsidy total 2,623.6M RUR ($ 39.96M). The expert groups include experts from the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia.

Note that the competition is not the first year. Thus, in previous years, the technology parks-members of the Association received support from the federal budget in the amount of more than 12.5B RUR ($ 190.42M). "Over the past time, the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia, together with the ministries, has been working to legalize the industrial technopark concept, which made it possible to clarify the goals, objectives and functions of the industrial technoparks formation. This term has been used in the tools of SMEs state support," said the director of the Association, Andrey Shpilenko.
