The Ministry of Agriculture proposed to expand the leasing of agricultural equipment

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation proposed to make the supply of equipment on lease the main tool of state support for agricultural producers and expand this tool. New leasing conditions will be launched no later than 2020.

"The new leasing product will be an interest-free installments for a period of five years with an advance payment of 20%. Such conditions are acceptable for upgrading equipment even by small farms that could not do it even with a discount," the ministry’s press service quoted First Deputy Minister Dzhambulat Khatuov as saying.

Such conditions will allow farmers not to deduce finances from their current activities, but to direct them to the further development of business, the Ministry of Agriculture notes. As a result, farms will be able to upgrade four times more conventional units of equipment at the same cost. Thus, the emphasis in the state support will be shifted towards the stimulation of effective demand, and not production. For the next three years, the regions declared the need to purchase 33,800 units of equipment on preferential leasing terms for RUR 139 billion.

There will also be expanded nomenclature line of leasing.
