December 20 - 26, two cases of African swine fever have been reported in the Transcarpathian and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine, the State Food Service reports.
The ASF virus has been recorded among wild boars produced in the hunting grounds near the Krutaya (Zhytomyr region). A dead boar infected with ASF was found in the hunting grounds of the Kedrinsky Forestry (Transcarpathian region). Since the beginning of 2018, 142 ASF cases have been recorded in Ukraine.
