A record rape crop is expected in Belarus

The gross harvest of rapeseed in 2017 in Belarus can be a record. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the country Leonid Zayats.

According to him, the harvest was able to collect more than last year, despite the fact that the year was not easy for farmers due to weather conditions. "This is noted not only for grains, but also for rapeseeds. We expect a record harvest of rapeseed - 650,000 tons," the minister said, recalling that last year the gross harvest of oilseed crops amounted to 260 thousand tons. Leonid Zayats noted that this volume will allow to load production capacities in Belarus and to provide a reserve of oil of rape for export sales.
