Agrarians of Kazakhstan annually lose from 15 to 25% of the harvest

Kazakhstan, using obsolete machinery and equipment, loses at least 14% of the gross harvest, which is about 200 billion tenge ($ 595 million). This was stated by the deputy of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Albert Rau, an Informburo.kz portal reported October 23.

"45,000 tractors and 9,000 combine harvesters in Kazakhstan practically do not work. The use of worn-out equipment leads to an increase in the cost of repairs and fuel and lubricants by 20%, and most importantly to the inadequacy of about 14% of the gross revenue or 200 billion tenge ($ 595 million). According to experts, this is the minimum estimate, in fact, yield losses reach 25% .In order to speed up the replacement of old equipment, I propose the introduction of a scrap on agricultural machinery," Rau said.

Note that two enterprises in Omsky Biocluster (Omsk Experimental Plant FSUE and Saturn-Agro Research and Production Enterprise LLC) produce agricultural machinery, supplying it, including agrarians of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
