Are GMOs attacking?

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) notes that transgenic or genetically modified crops tipped the scales at 185.1 million hectares in 2016 on a global scale.

Ten countries in Latin America cultivated a total of 80 million hectares of transgenic crops. In 2016, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Canada and India were still the leading countries in GM crops - together they represent 91% of the total global surface area used for GM crop production.
