A record harvest of corn (97.7 million tons), which will exceed the indicator of 2015-16 by as much as 46%, is expected in Brazil. This situation is explained by the increase in arable land for this crop, as well as the yield, the Krestyanskie Vedomosti reports.
USDA experts believe that a large amount of corn (about 35 million tons) will be exported. This is much more than in the previous season, when a little less than 14 million tons were exported from Brazil. On the other hand, in the same year a very large harvest of soy is expected. Thus, a large crop of the current year will trigger a general decline in prices for these crops in the world.
