Business of China will act as co-investor of agrocluster in Primorye

The Russian-Chinese joint venture Tai-Yuan Agro-Industrial Cluster LLC will invest more than 6 billion rubles (more than $ 100 million) in the creation of an agro-industrial cluster in the Shkotovsky District of Primorsky Territory, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation said on Thursday. The total area of the complex will be 7,000 hectares (agricultural lands - 6.8 thousand hectares.) The resident plans to grow potatoes, grains and legumes.

 

The agrocluster will consist of five functional zones: headquarters, agricultural sector, industrial processing zones, logistics and tourism. The project will be implemented in three stages until 2024 with the support of the regional authorities.

 

Tai Yuan Group (China, Jilin Province) specializes in the cultivation of cattle meat breeds and pigs. The total number of livestock is over 700 thousand head. The products are processed at own enterprise. Farms for dairy farming are located in the north of China. The total area of ​​agricultural land in China is 52 thousand hectares.
