Chickens in Russia continue to get cheaper

Domestic chickens are continuously becoming cheaper for the second consecutive year, SoyaNews reports.

 

In February 2018 chickens chilled and frozen in Russia cost an average of 123.61 rubles per kilogram ($ 2.16) - 0.8% less than in the previous month, and 9.6% less than in February 2017. For the period since January 2016 this is the minimum price for chickens, SoyaNews underlines; the maximum was fixed in December 2016 - 138.49 rubles / kg ($ 2.42).

 

The most expensive chickens in February 2018 were sold in the Far Eastern Federal District (170.96 rubles per kilo, $ 2.99), the cheapest in the Volga Federal District (109.10 rubles per kilo, $ 1.91).
