China invests $ 200 million in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan

China plans to invest $ 200 million into the plant growing sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was stated by the president of the Chinese-Kazakh Association of the Food Industry Kemelkhan Abilekov, reported on October 12 portal Abctv.kz.

 

"The first tranche is planned to be implemented around May 2018. Prior to that, there will be meetings directly with agricultural producers who will place applications with us, and we are planning to create five support centers in Kazakhstan," Abilekov explained.

 

According to the president of the association, the project will be implemented in two stages. In addition, it is planned to build educational and leasing centers, a technical research and development center, a servicing center for agricultural machinery, fodder plants, oilseed processing plants, and haymaking factories.

 

"Our goal is the construction of exemplary processing facilities at the first stages, such as creameries, granaries, feed factories.To ensure the necessary equipment was imported to Kazakhstan, part of the investment will be aimed at creating centers for training middle-level specialists, machine operators who can properly use this equipment," said Kemelkhan Abilekov, stressing that at the first stage the products will be delivered to China, and in the future the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to enter the markets of other countries.
