The first train with goods from Russia to China reached last weekend the final point of the new route - the city of Ganzhou, eastern Jiangxi Province. This is reported by TASS.
The train delivered 38 containers to the People's Republic of China with products of Russian origin. Containers were delivered from Kansk with the help of trucks to Bazaikha, where they were reloaded to railway platforms. The length of the route exceeds 7 thousand km. Ganzhou is considered a fairly backward city in terms of economy. This is due to the complex terrain. Local media reported that the new rail route from Russia could become a very important trade corridor and could help in the development of this region.
