Experts discussed issues of livestock profitability

June 9, 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region held a conference 'Building a system of cost-effective production. Economics of Technology'. This significant event, which gathered an audience of more than 100 people, was organized for managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises in order to focus attention on the economic efficiency of any attracted investments in the livestock sector.

 

Maksim Chekusov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region, opening the events, stressed that right now Omsk producers have a unique opportunity to receive state support for the modernization and construction of buildings, purchase of machinery and equipment, and the Ministry is discussing with banks questions of providing favorable loans to the farms. Therefore, the question of the rationality of the use of capital investments is now particularly relevant. For this purpose, experts from Moscow, Voronezh, and Minsk were invited, who gave practical recommendations on improving the efficiency of the enterprise in the design and equipment of farms, the organization of harvesting and preserving feed, milk processing. The expert community of Omsk region at this event was represented by the specialists of SIBAGROKOMPLEX Group (member of Omsky Biocluster), which has been supplying the best genetic resources of the domestic and foreign markets to our region for more than eight years. Omsk specialists took part in this event as a consultant on the use of modern achievements in genetics in order to increase the volume and profitability of livestock production.

 

Head of Omsky Biocluster's Genetics and Breeding of Cattle Practice Anatoly Shulakov:

"The modern realities confirm that the economic efficiency of the enterprise determines its survival. Investments in the reconstruction and development of the enterprise without a preliminary assessment of the return on investment, growth in production and economic result are unreasonable risks. In my opinion, the invitation of high-level specialists and various profiles for comprehensive coverage of the issue of ensuring the profitability of livestock production was very reasonable and timely from our Ministry of Agriculture. On the other hand, the achievement of the effect depends on the leaders of enterprises."
