Export of Russian agricultural machinery grew 1.5 times

First half of 2017, the exports of Russian agricultural machinery increased 1.5 times to 4.1 billion rubles (more $ 68 million), the president of the Russian industry association Rosspetsmash Konstantin Babkin told to Izvestia. Information was also confirmed in the Ministry of Industry and Trade - exports grew due to state support mechanisms, as well as favorable ruble exchange rate.

The agrarian business abroad shows interest in all basic positions of agricultural machinery produced in Russia: agro-machines for forage harvesting are in demand in China, energy-saturated tractors are in Canada, Rosspetsmash said. South America, North Africa and the Middle East could become new markets for Russian technology, experts believe.

The CIS countries, Europe, China, Canada and Iran were the main importers of Russian agricultural machinery in the first half of the year. For example, Russia supplied equipment to China for 181 million rubles (more $ 3 million) - while in the first half of 2016 there were no supplies. Export of agricultural machinery to Uzbekistan grew 5.1 times, to Bulgaria and Slovakia 4.5 times, to Iran - 2 times, to Hungary - 72%, to Moldova - 66%, in the Ukraine - 64%, in the Netherlands - by 37%, in Kazakhstan - by 34%, said Konstantin Babkin.

The source in the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted the growth in the first half of 2017 of the Russian agricultural machinery export compared to the previous year. The growth of volumes was about 40-47%. It is planned to increase it systematically in subsequent periods. The growth of exports is due to the fact that in Russia completely new and unique developments have appeared, and the quality of Russian agro-machines has reached a new level.
