Feed amino acids will be supplied only if there are licenses

The government prepared a draft resolution, according to which lysine (an essential fodder amino acid in the meat industry) is supposed to be imported into the Russian Federation only if there are licenses. To date, Russia is directly dependent on lysine imports by more than 40%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has proposed a project according to which the import of L-lysine monohydric chloride will be allowed in the presence of a special license for the period from December 1 to May 31. About 55% of lysine is exported from abroad. PRC is currently the main supplier of lysine to Russian enterprises (more than 50 thousand tons - 85%).
