Food exports in 2017 could reach $ 20 billion

According to the results of 2017, Russian food exports could reach $ 20 billion. This statement was made by the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Alexander Tkachev, speaking at a meeting of the Russian business mission in the Kingdom of Morocco.

 

"In recent years, Russian food exports have been growing rapidly: over the past ten years, it has grown 3.5 times, from $ 5 billion to $ 17 billion in 2016. We hope that by the end of 2017, exports will be about $ 20 billion. It is important not only to increase volumes, but also to diversify exports in terms of geography and in terms of commodity structure," Alexander Tkachev stressed.
