Omsk agricultural producers are preparing for the sowing season. The unique domestic developments of specialists of Omsk Reference Center of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance will enable farmers to produce high quality crops at lower costs
The unique domestic developments will not only protect crops and plantings from various diseases, but will also reduce the impact of unfavorable weather conditions and eliminate stress caused by the use of chemicals.
Oksana Strebkova, Head of the Department of Seed Breeding and Plant Protection of Omsk Reference Center says:
"Biological protectants stimulate germination of seeds, raise resistibility of plants to unfavorable weather conditions, including spring frosts and drought, which eventually lead to significant productivity increase. For instance, the biological product "Elena" shows antifungal and antibacterial actions. It is used for seed treatment and spraying of plants during vegetation. It is intended to be used on grain, vegetable, fruit and berry crops to protect them against a wide range of diseases, such as septoria, leaf rust, powdery mildew, alternaria leaf mold. It can also protect against root rot of field and greenhouse vegetables and against potato diseases.
Another product called "Azolen" is a microbiological fertilizer having protective and stimulating action. It improves nitrogen nutrition of all agricultural plants. Three-time spraying can be used instead of 60 kg of nitrogen fertilizers per hectar, helping to increase productivity of vegetable and grain crops by 30-50%. "Elena" and "Azolen" are to be used in tank mixes with herbicides. In addition to antifungal action, they eliminate stress the plants get from the use of chemicals, and can significantly reduce the costs for agricultural producers, which is very important nowadays. Since the limiting storage period for the products is 45 days, these fertilizers are produced only on pre-order."
