In the current MY, Russia to export nearly 35 mln tonnes of grains

In 2017/18 MY, Russia plans to supply 30-35 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Aleksander Tkachev.

According to him, in 2017 the weather conditions developed in not very favourable way for agriculture in Russia, but the officials expect that in the current year the grain harvest will total nearly 100-105 mln tonnes. "Such volumes will be sufficient for the market. In particular, the forage consumption will cover nearly 40 mln tonnes, food purposes - nearly 20 mln tonnes, seeds - nearly 10 mln tonnes, and the remaining volumes to be exported - 30-35 mln tonnes," noted Aleksander Tkachev.
