Inspection of plants for quarantine: the results of Q1

Q1 2017, the staff of the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Research of Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor analyzed more than 4000 samples, of which domestic products - 3887 samples, imported products - 144.

 

During this period, the Laboratory issued 3560 conclusions in the field of plant quarantine, this number includes conclusions on the phytosanitary status of quarantine products and the quarantine examination facility. Specialists conducted more than 8000 examinations, including: Entomological - 4006; Herbological - 3611; Phytohelminthological - 319, as well as 52 Mycological and 18 - Bacteriological.

 

Head of the Laboratory Irina Lukashevich:

 

"In carrying out phytosanitary examinations, three types of quarantine objects were found in 56 cases: thin-stemmed dodder, Ambrosia wormwood and beggarticks, and 27 non-quarantine objects in more than 2,499 cases."

 

The Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Research of Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor carries out a complex of services in the field of plant quarantine in the case of import of quarantine products to Omsk region or the export of products outside Omsk region, as well as in the cultivation, production and sale of plant products. Specialists conduct survey of fields, forest plantations, warehouses, elevators in order to identify quarantine objects.
