Kazakhstan will not support grain exporters

The Government of Kazakhstan refused to consider the possibility of additional support for domestic grain exporters. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov, reported on October 20 portal Abctv.kz.

"We have our traditional markets, where Kazakhstan has been exporting grain for decades, and until we consider the issue of additional support measures," Myrzakhmetov said. According to him, grain harvest in Kazakhstan by the reporting date amounted to 21.8 million tons of grain, the average yield was 14.3 c/ha. Surpluses of grain may exert pressure on the price environment, but the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture does not express any concerns.
