The Russian Federation has expanded the list of foodstuffs by banning the importation of live pigs, certain types of food by-products and fats from farm animals from the European Union, the United States, Canada and other countries.
The prohibition, in particular, is extended to offal of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and horses, pork fat, lard-stearin, animal oil. The exception is purebred breeding live pigs.
