Ministry of Economic Development: patents in the agroindustrial complex

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation proposes to extend the patent system of taxation to the production sphere and the sphere of agriculture. Such a statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Oleg Fomichev.

"It is possible to obtain a patent for 63 types of business now, it is possible to further extend the system of granting patents for the production sphere and the sphere of agriculture," Oleg Fomichev said, noting that the Ministry also proposes to improve the patent taxation system. "We need to make this tax regime parallel with the fact of registering a business so that an entrepreneur could without hindrance be able to simultaneously register and pay a patent."

Oleg Fomichev added that this system needs to be improved also from the point of view of the level of taxation on social payments. "We have a long discussion with the Ministry of Labor and the business community about the introduction of a single payment for individual entrepreneurs that do not attract employees and apply a patent. The single payment must include the amount of tax and insurance premiums," he said. The deputy minister noted that the rate of growth of payers for patents for two years increased by 2.5 times. The essence of the patent system of taxation is the receipt of a special document - a patent, which gives the right to carry out a certain business. The patent can be purchased for a period of one to 12 months.
