MSUTM was included in Omsky Biocluster

February 2, 2017, the agreement for cooperation between Association for the Advancement of Agribiotechnologies Industrial Cluster of Omsk region and Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Moscow State University of Technologies and Management (First Cossack University) was signed. First Cossack University became the 18th member of Omsky Biocluster.

The parties agreed to carry out mutual cooperation through the implementation of joint projects in the field of interests of industrial participants and infrastructure facilities of Omsky Biocluster.

Yury Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the General Meeting of Omsky Biocluster Association:

"Omsky Biocluster considers MSUTM as a partner with a strong research resource and a serious reputation, primarily at the federal level. This is not only Moscow and Omsk, it's 18 branches of the University across the country. In addition, the MSUTM has the status of First Cossack University and carries out activities to implement the state Cossacks development strategy in Russia. Cossacks are an integral part of Russia, they are patriots of the country, a large number of peasant farms, small and medium-sized enterprises for processing agricultural products. We have a lot of work to integrate the Cossack cluster investment projects into the system of cooperation of our cluster."

Valentina Ivanova, rector of MSUTM:

"MSUTM consistently implements the decisions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the Strategy for the Development of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in Relation to the Russian Cossacks to 2020. Participation of the Cossacks in the implementation of cluster projects of the regions is a reasonable vector of the economic development of the Cossack farms. Omsk region is a region with huge potential, where there are all resources for modern agroindustry: it is land, water, sun, but the most important resource is people who live and work on Siberian land. I am sure that only active cooperation of cluster subjects with the use of modern scientific methods of management is an instrument for achieving the efficiency of the Cossack economy. We are waiting for a lot of work!"
