The foundation of German business is medium and family companies

The PwC | Legal | Senior Manager | Lawyer | CEE - Russian Business Group Tanja Galander, told Omsky Biocluster in an exclusive interview about the outcome of the 2nd Catherine Forum in German Zerbst, differences in ideologies of Russian and German business, as well as the readiness of German business to invest in the Russian economy.

 

For more than 15 years, Tanja Galander has been advising on legal issues of Russian investors in Germany, as well as German investors in Russia. She has significant experience in supporting cross-border transactions. Her practical skills cover, in particular, the acquisition of companies by investors, legal due diligence, the conclusion of contracts for the sale of companies and agreements on the establishment of a joint venture, the implementation of comprehensive structuring, the conclusion of cross-border transactions and negotiation.

 

Answering a correspondent’s question about the readiness of German business to invest in the Russian economy, Tanja Galander noted that German business is ready for investment if there are specific opportunities and needs:

"Inquiries of Russian clients are important. As for required conditions and framework, I would like to note the stability of the investment and legal framework conditions and the belief that the policy will not interfere with economic relations, the courts are independent and there is a possibility to execute probable claims against a Russian side."
