Novosibirsk dairy farmers will increase production by 1.4 times

The amount of investment in the dairy industry of Novosibirsk region will approach 4 billion rubles ($ 67.5 million) in the next five years (including 3.5 billion rubles/$ 59 million - the company's own funds), agronews.com reports.

 

The region has developed a draft strategy for the food and processing industry development. The document assumes the growth by 2025 of milk production, its quality, modernization of enterprises. The implementation of measures will ensure an increase in the dairy products output by 1.4 times by 2025. By this time, it is planned to build two milk processing complexes and modernize ten productions.

 

Now the number of dairy herd is 129 thousand dairy cows, which are contained in 283 farms. According to this indicator, the region in the first half of the year took second place after Tatarstan.
