June 6, 2017 published the results of the VIII annual National University Ranking for the 2016/2017 academic year, conducted by the international information group 'Interfax'. The rating evaluates the activity of 264 leading universities in Russia, which is 26 more than last year.
Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) took 151-153 place in the composite rating. At the end of the 2015/16 academic year, the university was at 199 - 201 place. The rating includes 26 agrarian universities, among which OmSAU - in sixth place (Stavropol State Agrarian University (46-47), Kuban State Agrarian University (107-109), Bashkir State Agrarian University (118-120), Russian State Agrarian University named after K.A. Timiryazev (129), Don State Agrarian University (140 - 141). Three more Omsk universities, in addition to OmSAU, are included in the rating: Omsk State Technical University (46-47); Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky (101 - 102); Siberian State Automobile and Highway Academy (215 - 216). OmSAU is on the third place among Omsk universities.
Activities of universities were evaluated in six main areas: education, research, social environment, international and interregional cooperation, innovation and the university's brand. The sources of the data were open materials on the activities of universities, collected by experts, personal data, monitoring data, as well as the results of analysis carried out with the help of the Integrated News Analysis System.
