June 27, 2017, a meeting of the Council of Academic Affairs Vice Rectors for Academic Affairs of the Universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation took place (by videoconference).
Representatives of 18 agrarian universities from 16 regions of the country took part in the meeting. The welcoming speech was made by the rector of OmSAU, Chairman of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Academic Affairs of the Universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Oksana Shumakova, Chairman of the Association of Educational Institutions of the Agroindustrial Complex and Fisheries Aleksander Turyansky, Head of the Center for Methodological Support of Personnel Training for the Agroindustrial Complex of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences FSUE (Timiryazev Academy) Viktor Berdyshev.
Vice-rector for educational activities of OmSAU Svetlana Komarova told the participants about the Omsk State Agrarian University experience on creating an electronic information educational environment within the university.
Also, the participants of the meeting discussed other current issues of the work of agrarian universities of the country.
