April 27, Omsk regional business incubator was the venue for a seminar for those wishing to start their own business in Omsk region. The event was aimed at supporting the entrepreneurial initiative of Russian farmers, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region reports.
The seminar was attended by the head of livestock and pedigree supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Elena Yurchenko. She acquainted the participants of the event with measures of state support for farmers engaged in livestock sub-sectors, gave explanations on the terms of grant support for beginning farmers in 2018.
In 2018, the maximum grant for beginner farmers is 3 million rubles ($ 48.39 thousand), for the development of a family livestock farm - 10 million rubles ($ 161.28 thousand). This year, funding for grants has increased significantly compared to last year and amounted to 102 million rubles ($ 1.65 million) for beginner farmers with the number of 34 grants, for family livestock farms (82 million rubles, $ 1.32 million) - 8 recipients of subsidies. The total amount is 184 million rubles ($ 2.97 million).
