According to the rating prepared by the The DairyNews Agency on the basis of Rosstat data on small, medium and large agricultural enterprises of the country for five months of this year, Omsk region closes the twenty regions of the country with the highest milk production in January-May 2017 with a result of 136.9 thousand and an increase of 2% to the same period of 2016.
The Republic of Tatarstan and the Krasnodar Territory are the undisputed leaders in terms of milk production (459.5 and 375.5 thousand tons respectively). The greatest increase in relation to the same period of 2016 is observed in Belgorod (12.4%) and Chelyabinsk (10.1%) regions.
