Q1 2017, Omsk region increased the amount of cheese production by more than 19% compared to the same period in 2016 and entered the top five, Svetitsch News Agency reported with reference to the regional government.
Analytical Center MilkNews published Top-20 regions with the largest volumes of cheese and cheese products in Q1 2017. According to MilkNews, in January-March this year, the leading regions with the largest volumes of cheese and cheese products production were the Voronezh region, Altai Territory, Moscow, Bryansk and Omsk regions, the Republics of Tatarstan and Udmurtia.
Omsk region increased the production of cheese and cheese products by 19.1% to the level of the same period in 2016 and entered the top five. So, for three months in the region produced 8.1 thousand tons of cheese and cheese products.
