Omsk SAU implements the ERASMUS+ international project

The first meeting ERASMUS+ 'International Credit Mobility' in conjunction with the Polygraphic Institute of Braganca (Portugal) was held in Omsk SAU (member of Omsky Biocluster). ERASMUS is a program of the European Union aimed at supporting cooperation in the field of higher education, vocational training, youth and sport support, which has been implemented in the Omsk State Agrarian University since the beginning of the 2000s. The new generation ERASMUS + program includes various areas of cooperation - mobility of students and teachers, development of European studies, as well as cooperation for the development of universities' potential, etc.

The Polytechnic Institute of Braganca (Portugal) is one of the most important foreign partners of Omsk SAU within the framework of this program. Omsk SAU together with the Institute of Braganca (for the first time in its history) implements the program of double diplomas. Students of the Omsk GAU ('Management' training) have a unique chance to get a high-quality Russian and European education with obtaining diplomas of two universities, provided they successfully complete the course. This positive experience became the basis for the organization of the first meeting ERASMUS+ 'International Credit Mobility' as part of a joint project with the Polygraphic Institute of Braganca.

A round table was held with the participation of the rector of the Omsk SAU Oksana Shumakova, the lecture of Paula Odete Fernandez about the agro-tourism regions of Portugal and their competitiveness and other events, a visit to the Omsk Experimental Plant FSUE (member of Omsky Biocluster). The parties discussed the specifics of the Portuguese and Russian education systems, the current issues of implementing the project 'International Credit Mobility', scientific interests and ways to develop further cooperation between the two universities.
