August 8, 2017, leaders and specialists of OmskSAU and Agrochemical Service Center Omsky FSBI (both organizations are members of Omsky Biocluster) took part in the 'Field Day' traditional event, which was held in Poltava district.

'Field Day' is conducted to assess the condition of fields before the beginning of mass harvesting. The organizers and direct participants of this event: head of Poltava district Alexander Milashenko, rector of Omsk State Agrarian University Oksana Shumakova, director of Agrochemical Service Center Omsky Vladimir Krasnitsky, scientists and specialists of enterprises.

Participation of OmskSAU in such events is not accidental. It is known that 40% of the sown areas of Omsk region are sown with cereal varieties of OmskSAU. This is the result of the colossal breeding work of the university scientists, its research laboratories. On the experimental fields one could see a lot of tablets with the name of the landing material of OmskSAU: 'Medium-ripen wheat OmSAU 90', 'Medium-ripened wheat OmSAU 95', 'Medium-late wheat OmSAU 100', 'Medium-late wheat Element 22 standard' and others.

Director of Agrochemical Service Center Omsky Vladimir Krasnitsky:

"Scientists, experts, practitioners should meet not only in the walls of buildings, but primarily on the ground, in the fields. The secrets of a good harvest are the selection grain grown on prepared soil and, of course, competent care for both the field and the seedlings. We saw positive results of efforts of scientists of OmSAU, Agrochemical Service Center Omsky experts and our agrarians".
